I only recently discovered instructables.com, but now find myself visiting on a regular basis to live vicariously through the projects of others. Every now and again I find a bike fix that intrigues, but I usually just get a laugh or two out of the hacks. Take this "Adult and Child Bike Connector," for example:

Always fun to see an old POS getting reused/recycled/coopted. But then I read the first comment from the poster: "After my first test run I am planning to replace the bent over nails with nuts and bolts. The nails allowed too much twisting which led to my son falling off when I forgot to remind him to lean into a corner."

Evidence of jury-rigging:

1. Bent over nails 

2. Having to instruct the rider to lean into corners
